So, ya, i'm enrolled at IVY Tech for the summer and fall semester.  Don't worry, i'm only taking one class during the summer so i won't be crazy busy all the time.  Getting into the whole college feel of things now...

Anyway, hope to see you all sometime,
~Sam

P.S.  I've also been watching a lot of mural art videos on YouTube and i think it would be cool to grab a few buckets of paint and a big piece of plywood and do some artsy stuff in the Meyer's back yard...  I haven't asked them about it yet, but i'm sure they wouldn't mind.

oh ya,
I am Spartan!!!!!

Is Christmas worthy of a now quite rare blog post?

Absolutely!!!!

Well, so Christmas was different this year.  This is most obvious by the fact that i am writing this instead of spending time with friends and family, or perhaps playing with all my new toys.  Aside from the fact that a majority of my new toys were cloths (same as last year(getting old is a drag(a 12:00 bedtime is not worth a shirt and a gift card))) the yuletide spirit altogether missed our house and, in a weak attempt to compensate, sent a honking load of snow which former vice-president Al Gore rather unceremoniously warmed into rain.  What an inconvenient man...  But i assure you however that i am not bitter about this in the least.  No, i am truly cheerful about how it all turned out.  You see, it all began when my Grandfather was placed in a nursing home after an apparent seizure upon the eve of the Christmas season.  This was a traumatic experience for everyone because what we assumed would be the last real Christmas at my Granddad’s house was abruptly dissolved.  Everything went on as we planned however and following a whirlwind, micro-Christmas at our house, we choked down a bagel or two and departed for the house of my mother's childhood.  We opened presents, ate Christmas dinner, and i spent the evening watching Christmas episodes of The Simpsons and Everybody Loves Raymond in the lounge of the bell trace retirement home.

Why am i ok with all this?

Because its my Lord Jesus Christ's birthday!
And it will be with or without Christmas cookies.
